    I tested the Ashly power amplifiers for Altec Pro. I found that these heavy-weights had almost as much "headroom" as an Altec 1270. Very impressive.

    FYI:
    These Altec power amplifiers have excellent "headroom" and will reproduce low frequency thumpage far greater than their power rating suggests;
